The Pomsky is a crossbreed between a Husky and a Pomeranian Spitz, and the puppies from this union are called first generation Pomsky or F1.<\/p>\n\n

The Pomsky is known for its small wolf-like appearance, soft coat, and curly tail. Their small size, temperament, and behavior make them perfectly suited for urban family life. The Pomsky made its appearance around 2011, and since then, this teddy bear-like dog has been making waves on social media. The demand for this small dog that creates a buzz wherever it goes is skyrocketing.

We decided to write an article about the origin of this crossbreed and to understand where its name comes from. So, is it spelled Pomsky or Pomski? The answer: POMSKY.

The correct spelling is Pomsky and not Pomski, and this can be explained quite simply.

The Pomsky comes from a crossbreed between a Pomeranian Spitz and a Siberian Husky. This crossbreed first occurred in the United States less than 20 years ago. The father must be the Spitz, and the mother must be the Husky to avoid any problems during gestation and whelping. In fact, the male must always be smaller than the female to avoid any issues.

Hence the name Pomsky:

However, by delving deeper and looking more online, we found one reason why some people might search for 'Pomski'; it is true that in the United States, the plural of Pomsky is spelled Pomskies, as with all words ending in 'y' in the US, the plural becomes 'ies'.
