Pomsky Coat Colors: The Complete Guide

One of the reasons for the Pomsky’s success is the diversity of its coat colors, inherited from both the Siberian Husky and the Pomeranian.
The most common colors
- Gray and white: the most iconic color, inherited directly from the classic husky.
- Red and white: also very widespread, with shades ranging from light red to vivid red.
- Cream and white: a softer shade, often paired with a dense Pomeranian-style coat.
The rarer colors
- Black and white: a highly sought-after coat, rarer to obtain depending on the parents’ lines.
- Merle: a mottled pattern, rare in the Pomsky, which requires particular genetic vigilance from breeders to avoid the health risks associated with a double dose of the merle gene.
And blue eyes?
Blue eyes, inherited from the husky, are one of the most sought-after traits in the Pomsky. They are not guaranteed, however: some puppies have brown eyes, others blue, and some have one eye of each color (heterochromia), which is just as charming.
Why color affects the price
At Royaume des Galopins, coat color and rarity are among the criteria that can affect a puppy’s price within the same litter, with the rarest colors (black and white, intense blue eyes) sitting at the top of our price range. Find the details on our pricing page.
